Rationale: The name conjures up the feel of reunion. It builds on the MIT which is the common thread that binds you all together. We’re hoping that anyone who has passed through the corridors of MIT may build on the friendships once forged in college or that new networks and friendships may be forged through this site.

Did we have to leave our motto behind in college? Why not carry it forward into our everyday lives. We are a bank of resourceful people, let’s share, let’s network, let’s grow business opportunities between us. Let’s have fun doing this...like them good ol’ days! This time the idea didn’t need KK’s nod.

Fortunately enough the idea stayed alive even after getting back to Mumbai. Aggressive efforts and a series of meetings by the ever enthusiastic group of MITians led from one thing to another! It was then decided to start a MIT alumni chapter in Mumbai. The word was circulated in the MITian network and the response was overwhelming – 500+ MITians replied with a desire to be connected to this thread! Finally on 12th March 2007 MITOS.IN was born!
